Seven inches with a promise of more on the way got us to try again on Sunday. This time the road was open and we made it up there. I took my Salomon AK Rockets (big fat skis) up in hope of deep powder. Unfortunately, it had warmed up and we were skiing cement mixer. The skis were still a reasonable choice as they acted like a big surf board in such conditions. It continued to snow another 6 inches of wet, slushy stuff while we were there and with strong winds to ensure we were pelted in the face!

Oh well, it was great to get out on skis and not get turned away from the resort! If you are counting, I am 2 for 4 at Stevens this year.
